Abstract

Hygienic dirt tray for the reception of excrement etc. of domestic cats is in the form of an open-topped rectangular receptacle, pref. of polystyrene, with shallow walls which are upright or slope slightly outwards. Outside one end of the tray a bar is fitted to two arms which are pivoted on opposite side walls of the tray. The inside of the tray is lined with a disposable, plastic sheet formed with definitive, fold lines. These folds ensure that the sheet conforms to base and sides of the tray. The pivot bar tensions and locks the sheet in position. The sheet can be lifted out as a pocket contg. the litter and excrement without the liftter's fingers becoming contaminated.
