Abstract

The mirror allows the driver to see to either side of the vehicle in a perpendicular direction for use at crossroads or when parking etc. The mirror may be pivoted between a stowed position in which it lies flush with the surface of the bonnet or the boot and a working position in which it projects from it. Pref. the mirror has two reflective surfaces (4,5) which are each hinged at one side and intersect one another at the opposite side. The two surfaces (4,5) are adjusted by pivoting them about their axes (6) to adjust them for the required driving position. They are mounted on a pivotal vane (2) which can fold down into a stowed position. The two surfaces may be mounted on shaft which allows passage of electric current from a solenoid for moving between stored and operating positions.

Description

The present invention relates to a car hood
automobile inside which the two are embedded

FIG - 8 - represents the same mirrors mounted on

 The FIG - I2 - shows this same block of mirrors (IC-) placed on the rear trunk of the car allowing the driver to see what is happening on the left or on the right, perpendicularly in -B- and on the right in -A- without having to back up your car before having examined its lateral field of vision, very useful in crossroads, parking lots, garage exits, and in the streets where cars are parked in battle.

 FIG - I3 - is a variant of the block of these two mirrors (IOj embedded in the rear or front bodywork and removed only in the event of observation by means of a piston or rod (17) controlled from the dashboard.

 FIG - I4 - is another variant in which the hood or the rear trunk outlet of the car is done, either vertically or obliquely, depending on the type of body of the car.

 The invention will be clearly understood with reference to the description and the accompanying drawings, but it can vary in shape, material, dimensions, without the principle of the invention being altered. The aim is to stay within the framework of the new idea which is the subject of this present patent.
