The present invention relates to a new method which will make it possible to eliminate the tedious drudgery, which obliges the drivers of motor vehicles to contort themselves, to accomplish a maneuver of walking-srrire, that is to park in niche without violently touching the car which is already when parked, behind the mime of the car maneuvering either for all other reversing operations, race at invisible obstacles from the driver's seat
Indeed, each time that this operation is carried out, it must be recognized that this is not pleasant for anyone, and especially not for the elderly or other disabled, who must one day or another park properly in marehe -arribre
The said operation being moreover the most distressing, since the bumpers of the cars are not only not at all at the same height, but moreover, many of them are nowadays equipped with couplings far exceeding the said bumper, and taking into account that the drivers have no practical means of correctly locating how far these obstacles are, it follows that any wrong maneuvers can cause serious debates to the bodies, as well as to the lights (front of the two cars in question)
Dlo logical decision to remedy these serious disadvantages, by applying the aforementioned process which covered by a patent can rationally cause the launch of a new industrial product, most useful and most beneficial to all, in this area of the most late in the face of current progress
Consequently, a large (rear view mirror) has been fixed to the rear of the car, using a support specially designed for this purpose, so that the said driver, who looks in the classic rear-view mirror in the front of the cabin, usually attached to the top of the windshield, can see very easily not only its own rear bumper, but also that it has a sufficient field of vision to fully appreciate the distance which it rest of free, before any unnecessary and dangerous contacts for the materials present
Already there, from this very brief presentation it is easy to understand that real progress can be obtained thanks to the said process as well as to the device sn question, in the face of the above-mentioned disadvantages; but since in this part of the car it is possible to make other improvements, faced with driving safety as well as driver comfort, it was therefore decided to support the said (rear view mirror) by a large visor fixed to the rear of the car, by hinges in order to adjust adequately, the height of the rear-view mirror
This ('selvedge') which is basically only a double window of the rear window, will not only support at the right height the rear view mirror in question when it is necessary to make a reversing maneuver, but the so-called visibre can also serve as a shelter for said ice in case of rain, both in its high position, which is reserved in principle for traffic in built-up areas, and in its low position, that which is recommended for high speeds on roads and highways
This is to minimize the air turbulence at the rear of the car, thus risking being harmful to its general smoothness, while obviously increasing fuel consumption.
Said visor can not only also shelter the rear window against frost during the night, when stopped, but also in its low position, this one being designed in tinted transparent material, it also becomes a very effective screen, facing all glare coming from the headlights of following cars, both in town and on roads
The high or low position is obviously obtained by a command, either manual by cables (or others) or electric or hydraulic, placed rationally near the driver obviously
but all these systems being easily on the market and being well developed, they will therefore not be mentioned in detail in the description and drawing of the patent in question
Stating that, in view of the above and in order to be at the forefront of progress in this field, the so-called visor can be made as are some glasses of sunglasses, namely when looking at the sun 'through these, the glare is very much attenuated by the fact that they are precisely tinted for this purpose, but on the other hand when we look at the said glasses, facing the person who wears them, therefore on the other side of the aforementioned face, we see that they fulfill the function of mirrors very well (desired here in this case)
Hence the idea of making the said (double-pane) with this surprising process, with regard obviously to the extreme rear part of this, 1d ob is supposed to be the exact location of the rear view mirror, this part being , if necessary convex, the field of vision on obstacles is thus greatly increased, until you can locate the curb on the side where you want to park in a parking space
So there, all the elements are brought together so that the combination of the two devices in question (rear view mirror and anti-dazzle issanta rain visor) results in a new accessory for cars, most efficient in its mission, therefore doomed to very great diffusion
As a result of which prdcbde? the attached drawing, given by way of nonlimiting example, will make it possible to better explain the process used to achieve this real improvement, in the face of the tedious maneuver that is the aforementioned walking-srribre
Fig. 1 represents two rear cars, one of which N 1 is supposed to be parked along the sidewalk NO 2, the car N 3 is supposed to maneuver in reverse, according to f1 arrow N 4
The number 5 represents the (Rearview mirror) in question, which can be convex in shape if necessary, to increase the field of vision
The number 6 is the very support of said rear-view mirror, which is articulated and fixed to the rear of the car by hinges, either directly on the bodywork, or directly on the door of the rear boot of the vehicle, which under the designation of hatchback is the 30 or 50 door of the most common cars these days
The number 7 is the arrow which represents the direction of the driver's gaze, either by passing through the front mirror of the car, or by turning himself
The number 8 represents the arrow which gives an overview of the field of vision which the driver has on rear obstacles, during the reversing maneuver.
The number 9 represents the arrow which on the side, very well locates the location of the curb
The number 10 is the arrow which locates the exact location of the bumper of the reversing car
The number 11 represents a trailer hitch which is the most dangerous obstacle encountered during the above-mentioned maneuver.
The number 12 represents a classic bumper, the mounting height of which is most surprising in the face of logic, because even without the coupling, all occasional shocks during recoil must cause the rear lights of the car to break automatically. or other deter rierations of bodywork, which patented innovation here will allow to avoid thereafter, real real progress of the most functional
Deh there because of this summary description, it is easy to understand the simplicity and the efficiency of this new process, which can be summarized in a few words, in order to clearly specify the maneuver sn question
Namely that when one has to accomplish parking in a niche, the maneuver at the start is executed as usual, by a sufficient advance which will place the car 3 at the height and parallel to a certain car supposed to be parked, car 3 will therefore park while reversing in the space supposed to be free, between the one which is already parked and the car designated in 1 thanks to a classic steering and reverse steering and there, the visor being in the high position with the rear view mirror at its proper position, it is therefore at this precise moment that we will be able to understand the spectacular advantages given by the application of the process, cited in the first line of page 1
Whereas it is at the end of this operation that the maneuver is most constraining, especially since very often the places available are at least, cramped
The said advantages being amplified by the fact that the rear view mirror 5 can be of slightly convex shape, which will make it possible to have there, a total visibility on the rear of the see even 3, from where action to park in slots with much less anxiety than before, all this making the operation much easier and much faster
There, the said driver is therefore well engaged by looking either at the rear-view mirror 5, by turning around, or, indirectly by passing beforehand through the front cabin mirror
In both cases and thanks to the mirror N 5 the driver's gaze can dive directly not only on the obstacles supported by the car I, following arrow 8, but he also sees very well the edge of the sidewalk following arrow 9, at the same time that it can also very well locate the location of its own rear bumper by following arrow 10
This same process can be very advantageously applied to vans and other large trucks, which so far have been little favored by progress in this field, and 19, taking into account that on each side of vehicle cases there are already the height of the cabin a good rear-view mirror, it only remains to place at the rear (on one or on both sides) another Rear-view mirror 5, obviously placed in an adequate manner, in order to see as much as possible that happens behind the said vehicles, during the maneuvers in the rear
Said rear view mirror 5 being mounted on an articulated support, (or not?) It is therefore possible for drivers to actuate there any command to put this device in place of use, or to be able to retract it after use
there is certainly a variant, in the face of the process in question which must be of very great use in the field in question, since, no technical approach has been attempted in the face of serious disadvantages, this being all the more valid as the solution is certainly the most effective while being the simplest
Admittedly, given the incalculable number of different models of cars, other variants are possible to consider, but these must logically fall within the scope of the said patent, such as directly opening the tailgate of the car backing up. , using the same principle as to open the front covers of said cars, to see that when they are opened, using a control installed inside the cabin, the hood in question is ajar by a certain limited height, because being retained by any device
This principle being applied to the rear door of the car, it is certainly very possible to see directly, in a turn around, what is happening Just at the rear, during a step-up, but expected only to arrive at this result it is necessary to lower the files of the back benches as well as to remove the shelves which hide the rear trunks, (not to mention the bulky luggage which must be moved for the operation in question, it is therefore unthinkable that this idea is valid for abou- aforementioned progress shot
but however, this being facilitated by a new rear-view mirror fixed to the ceiling of the cabin, in an adequate location, it is therefore most logical that this idea falls within the framework of the patent in question, as a possible variant 2 although very random for cars circulating very often with passengers in the back, with bulky parcels in the back, or for cars in which the shelf (trunk cover) is often very crowded, because it serves as a magazine shed and other collars .
Given the obvious value of this invention, it is therefore in the interest of anyone who lives and circulates in countries with high traffic by car, to ensure that the said progress resulting from this innovation is applied as soon as possible in the interest of ALL in general and in that of the Nation in particular, thanks to a plausible increase in industrial activity
Obviously there can be attached a lighting system to the visor support (6) for all maneuvers of night walker
