Abstract

The electric lamp has the bulb fitted inside a hemi-spherical shade (1). The shade (1) is supported by a number of legs attached to its rim (3). Each leg has a number of joints (4) and terminates in a circular disc or sucker (6) which forms a foot. One of the legs forms a sheath for the power cable (5). The legs may be of equal or different lengths and be of any number greater than three. The provision of several jointed legs enables the lamp to be mounted on inclined surfaces with the light shining in any desired direction.
