Abstract

A tilting front seat for a two door car has the seat mounted on slides for longitudinal control and with tilt pivots under the front edge. The rear of the seat is linked to the rail by a lever fitted to the seat rear edge on a fixed pivot and linked to the rail by a slider. The lever is further linked to the rear of the floor rail by a second lever to aid the folding action of the support and provide additional security. The structure provides a secure fitting until released by a safety catch and enables the rear seats to be reached with maximum access.
