Abstract

Tank contg. residual fermentation prods. is fed through a valve in a pipe for introduction of the residue. Opening of the valve is controlled by a gas meter in gas removal pipe provided in the upper part of the tank. Opening time of the valve is controlled by a volatile fatty acid detector. Prods. in the tank are maintained at a constant temp. and pH is measured by a probe which regulates a valve controlling prod. discharge. Used in treatment of lacto-serum.
