Abstract

Data or temperature, water pressure, diver and target location and location of other divers is obtained through transducers carried with the diver and transmitted from surface borne radar or sonar devices. The diver's work and safety are enhanced by the display of this data on a screen by way of light emitting diode or liquid crystal displays and by audible signals. The analysis is performed by microprocessors of any word length using double precision calculators. Analogue to digital convertors accept data input from the transducers, ROM holds constants and tables required in the computation, and a programming facility allows the functions of the system to be altered to suit a particular application.
