Abstract

The central heating installation uses hot water to heat the floor to a temperature slightly higher than that required. The ambient temperature is provided by introducing external air into the building and modifying it by the waste air expelled from the same building. The necessary heat exchange is provided by a unit comprising two compartments. This provides the fan-assisted air transfer through the heat exchanger which uses the calories in the expelled air. Another unit senses the air temperature and provides additional heat through hot water coils or electrical elements.
