Abstract

The heat exchanger consists of an outer casing (10) closed at both ends and mounted horizontally. The casing is fitted with four through tubes opened at each end and equally spaced in the outer casing. An auxiliary steam coil is located in between the two lower through tubes. The casing is filled with water through the opening up to the level. The hot liquid passes through the lower tubes and the cold liquid through the upper tubes and the water may be replaced by other liquids.
