Abstract

The sole is for a sports shoe or boot and has a curved sheet (1) of rubber or plastics material, fixed under the sole with its curved face (3) opposite the shoe's upper. The thickest part of the sheet is at the level of the metatarsal joint and its base (2) is flat and rectangular. Its maximum thickness is between 5 and 15mm and it is fixed, preferably by bonding, on the external face of the inner layer (4) of the sole. It can be fixed between two intermediate layers of the sole.
