Abstract

The device is for securing in spaced relationship two or more armoured resistors (1, 2) as are used in domestic appliances such as electric ovens comprises a rigid metal elongate plate which has a recess (4) stamped out of each end at the plate. Each recess has a radius of curvature equal to that of the resistor cross-section, together with an extending tongue (5) which extends tangential to the recess and is deformed about the resistor to hold it securely in the recess. Further recesses open at the edge of the plate may be stamped out intermediate its ends to receive additional resistors. The plate avoids the need for soldering and problems of distortion due to heat.
