Abstract

During the grinding the solid particles are subjected to a shearing disintegration. The grinder comprises a cylinder (10) with a grooved surface. The grooves are at a slight angle to the cylinder centre line. The cylinder is seated in a pedestal assembly which can be moved along the base (13) by hydraulically operated adjusting device (14). While rotating anti-clockwise the grooved on the cylinder works together with a curved grinding plate (11) provided with grooving similar to those on the cylinder (10). The ground material drops onto a sieve (16), the correct size b particles being evacuated from the grinder via a chute and the oversize particles returned by a conveying assembly(17) to the hopper (15).
