Abstract

The movable boom is for pumping manure slurry from a pit into a tanker vehicle. It comprises a mechanical coupling fixed to the tank and the trailer chassis, and on which a rigid pipe (6) pivots. One part of the coupling can be inserted through the tank wall and fixed to it, and can contain a valve, also supporting the pivoting boom. The pipe ends in a T-piece, one end of which has a pinion fixed to it, meshing with a rack actuated by a ram controlled by the hydraulic system of the tractor.
