Abstract

The flexible, preferably plastic sports shoe sole is especially for long-distance running on hard tracks, and is reinforced between the bending area and the back to form a wedge-shaped heel (2). The heel (2) has at least one cavity (6) at right angles to the lengthwise direction of the sole and parallel to the contact surface (5). The cavity is on the underneath of the contact surface of the head. The cavity is open on one side, of the sole and has at least one movable support piece (11) made of flexible, hollow material, with slits or grooves in. The heel has crosswise, parallel holes.
