Abstract

The rafter caisson is made of a rigid panel (4), two laths (1, 2) and a bed of insulation material (5), the thin space between the panel and insulation being filled with a layer of air and a reflectorised film to bounce back infra red rays. The assembly is held together by glueing (14) and pinning (15) the panel to the laths. Adjacent assemblies are held together by notching the laths, such as (1), implanting a longitudinal electric tube so that tube and lath form a tongue and socket joint, and by then capping these joints with longitudinal runners.
