Abstract

The gas regulator has a membrane which acts against springs and functions as a safety device whereby it closes when the pressure decreases below a particular valve. A handle allows it to act as a tap. A membrane (4) sealed between two half shells (2, 3) forms an upper (5) and lower (6) chamber. The lower chamber is connected to an outlet (7) to the user. The gas inlet (11) is connected via a ball valve (12) and passage (9) in which a mobile shaft (13) engages an upper (15) and lower (14) valve which are positioned by a rotating handle (30). A main spring (25) acts against an upper support (26) on the handle and against a washer (24) on the membrane to which the upper valve is attached. This allows the operating pressure to be set.
