Abstract

The tank has a base (1), vertical sides (2) and a telescopic roof (3). The base of the tank has a sump (4) and a drain connection (5). The tank has a filling connection (6) and a manhole (7). The roof diameter is smaller than the wall diameter. The tank is sealed by a flexible membrane (13) which is connected to the cylinder wall at one end (24) and to the edges of the roof at the other end. The roof is fitted with a purge line (36) with a plugged end (38) to remove any air that may be trapped in the tank.
