Abstract

There is disclosed a flexible plastic push-in plug for the filling hole of a battery, the plug being adapted at least at its upper end to sealingly engage the walls of the filling hole, the plug being provided with storage venting means, the arrangement being such that the venting means is self sealing under zero pressure differential. The plug is preferably made of a soft rubbery polymer e.g. having a Shore A hardness in the range 74 to 91.
