Abstract
The pressure reduction valve is for a fuel supply system of an internal combustion engine. It consists of a high pressure chamber, a low pressure chamber and a valve rocker to control the passage between the two chambers. The main functions of the reduction valve are to provide a more forced vapourisation in the high pressure chamber and to achieve a high sensitivity in regulating the gas supply to the reduction valve. The high pressure chamber (31) can contain a relatively very low pressure in order to obtain a limited pressure drop between the high pressure chamber and the low pressure chamber (32). The high pressure chamber is heated by a water circulation system (1). The valve rocker of the reduction valve is exceptionally long and very sensitive. It is acted upon by a diaphragm via a flexible element and a spring.
