Abstract

Longitudinally slotted box section points, backing boards, and cantilever brackets are the principal components of a wall-mounted shelving system. The posts are fixed to a wall with the slotted face external, the boards fixing to the posts to leave the slots alone visible, and the brackets comprising horizontally elongated rectangular plates which are installed with major faces vertical. The fixing of the boards may utilise winged 'U' section clips mounted on the posts. 'V' shaped slots on the wings locating headed studs projecting from the rear of the boards. 'C' section pieces sliding and clamping in the posts may locate the brackets, providing openings for necked bracket tenons.
