Abstract

The self-adjusting clutch cable linkage has the clutch pedal (8) hinged at the end of a link lever (9) pivoted from the main pivot (7), on which a double armed lever (14) is pivoted. One end of the double-arm lever is linked to the clutch cable (5). While the other end has a ratchet cam (15) which is engaged by a tooth (16a) on the clutch pedal. The clutch pedal mounting is pressed against a stop (12) in the rest position, with the stop disengaging the ratchet. On pressing the pedal against an integral spring (18), the pedal and the double-arm lever are rigidly linked by the ratchet. In the rest position the cable drive can be reset by an integral spring to take up any clutch wear and cable stretch.
