Abstract
In the two output level centrifugal fan, the two outputs consist of a general purpose running level and a high running level to handle intermittent demand i.e. during cooking etc. Both outputs are obtained from a single fan driven from a reversible single phase asynchronous motor, i.e. the two levels are achieved by forward and reverse running of the fan. The fan is held within a 240 degree spiral (6) volume with parallel walls and has a horn input port. The fan blades do not overlap and are spaced by 0.15 x the fan outside diameter (D). The blade root angle (alpha) is between 10 and 20 degrees curving forward to an outer edge angle (beta) of between 55 and 70 degrees. The inner radius of the turbine is 2/3 that of its outer radius.
