Abstract

On prépare les 2-chloréthane- et éthènesulfinates métalliques en faisant réagir respectivement des chlorures de 2-chloréthane- et d'éthènesulfonyle avec les métaux. On mélange, à la température ambiante, à l'abri de l'air, en présence d'iode comme activateur, ledit chlorure dissous dans un solvant organique et le métal finement divisé ou en copeaux. Les sulfinates ainsi obtenus sont utilisés comme générateurs d'éthylène, ce qui leur confère des propriétés de régulation de la croissance des plantes.
