Abstract
Electrostatic recovery chamber for enamel dust. The design is esp. intended to reduce the overall size of small installations and is based on teh inclusion of the filter within the chamber. The chamber is divided into two compartments interconnected by a port facing the injector head (12). The base of the chamber is double walled defining a pressure reservoir (22) beneath the fluidised bed (25) with normal air injection into the material in the chamber floor. A pump ensures a slightly lower than atmospheric pressure in the chamber itself. Material from the bed is taken via a pipe (14) through the chamber wall to the injector (13) and jet head (12) the latter being fixed in the chamber upper wall. The filter (18) is cylindrical, is positioned within the larger of the two compartments and protected by a shield (20) against the injector head output.
