Le carter 1 comporte des moyens 4 agencés pour y loger au moins deux filtres 47, 57 de dimensions différentes, et procurer une étanchéité hermétique dans deux zones 34, 36 du carter correspondant aux deux filtres différents. Le carter permet d'utiliser des filtres différents sur des véhicules à moteur industriels.
