Abstract

The combination lock for a briefcase or valise has an easily changed numerical code on roller edges. The clasp of the lock is attached to one part of the valise while the main body of the lock is housed on another part of the valise. The end of the central shaft engages the clasp locking and unlocking the valise, but shaft, operated manually by the push button, can only move through a series of sockets (2) when holes in the rollers (1) are aligned to a previously chosen code.
