Abstract

In a spinning or twisting machine, where there are a number of spindles for the spools, with rings on a ring rail, there is a rotary ring which is arranged and mounted so that it rotates freely and coaxially within the ring fixed to the ring rail, and has an upwards ranging section cut out on the outer side. The cut-off guides the yarn, and its upper end bends inwards to form a hook near the opening for the cutter while the lower end is bent outwards to form an arm, which is long enough to lie on the upper surface of the fixed ring. The ring section is held to the rotary ring by a horizontal eyelet which is so formed that it allows the ring section to adjust itself on a line vertical to the plane of the rotary ring according to the pulling effect on the yarn by the rotating spool. By keeping the exit angle constant of the yarn as it passes out of the guide section, the rotary ring can operate at higher speeds.
