Abstract

Furnace flue gases in the metallurgical or sulphate cellulose industries with a content of fused and evapd. components are purified by passing them through channels with an intensive turbulence effect. The fused particles are separated by impact and the evapd. particles are condensed by cooling them through a fluid heat exchanger medium. This recovers both the fused particles, which can be recycled, and the waste heat by a low-cost equipment.
