Abstract

The holder protects a motor-cyclist's crash helmet against theft. It comprises a length of steel wire bent into a U-shape and welded to a mounting plate, into which the chin strap slides. A locking finger is inserted in the top and secured by a padlock, so that the chin strap cannot be lifted out. All components are of stainless steel or protected against oxidation. It can be fixed to the top bolt of the rear shock-absorber, or any other part, by a collar.
