Abstract

An anti-theft system for a motor cyclist's helmet, uses a strap (P) secured integrally with the body (C) of the helmet, and projecting below it at each side. The strap is made of woven metal wire which is strong and highly resistant to cutting. A hole (T) is made in each end of the strap, so that the two ends can be passed around e.g. the frame of the motor cycle and secured by a padlock. The stop can be concealed inside the chin strap (3). The strap can be integrally moulded into the helmet body or secured by rivets. Piano wire can be used for the woven part.
