Abstract
The device comprises a chamber(2) through which water is drawn via a valve(5) when steam in the chamber(2) condenses. Condensation may be assisted by a water spray circuit(19). Water is discharged from the chamber(2) through a valve(8) by gravity or steam pressure. Steam from e.g. a solar boiler(15) is admitted to the chamber(2) through a valve(16) controlled by a pressure servo(17). Alternatively a float and pressure actuated diaphragm system may be used for controlling the steam inlet.
