Abstract

Water is drawn into a chamber 2 through a valve 5 when steam in the chamber 2 condenses. Condensation may be assisted by a water spray circuit 19. Water is discharged from the chamber 2 through a valve 8 by gravity or steam pressure. Steam from, for example, a solar boiler 15 is admitted to the chamber 2 through a valve 16 controlled by a pressure servo 17. In a second embodiment a float end pressure acuated diaphragm system for controlling the steam inlet is described.
