Abstract

The building is made from elements in natural materials using cement such as clay reinforced, by undulated mats of reed or bamboo. An undulating lattice of bamboo (1) is made using galvanised metal ties (2) on a galvanised metal trellis (10). Two mats are joined by a galvanised reinforcement (11) across the main bamboo support column (7). The interior layers (13) are of naturally setting material such as clay. The outside face (12) is coated in lime and several units are joined to form walls, roofs, ceilings and floors.
