Abstract

The monobloc solar water heater operates independently of an electric supply. The water thrust through the absorber (A) by the mains pressure (C), so as to arrive heated in a storage tank (B). The rate at which it does so is regulated by expansion and contraction of gas contained in the heater. Expansion opens the supply valve, and contraction the drain valve, thus giving frost protection. Electric power for water circulation and protection and control of the system can be entirely replaced by that of solar energy on a hydro-pneumatic system and of the water mains pressure.
