Abstract

The four mould walls are surrounded by an outer, fixed frame; and each of the two long walls of the mould are pressed against the edges of the two side walls by a clamp. Each clamp consists of a work cylinder contg. a piston employed to compress a stack of cup springs; and the piston rod contains a shaft threaded at its front end. After compressing the stack of cup springs, shaft is rotated to drive a sleeve outwards. The sleeve has a threaded bore receiving shaft, and its front end is located via a pivot in a pressure plate contg. bolts located in clw hooks on the rear surface of a long muld wall. When the latter wall has been clamped in the desired position, the pressurised fluid fed into the work cylinder can be cut off, because the springs then apply clamping pressure.
