Abstract

Cet écran métallique évite, dans les moteurs à combustion interne, que la chaleur radiante des pipes d'échappement ne vienne échauffer le contacteur du démarreur. Se présentant comme un capot ayant une section en U, cet écran pare-chaleur se monte sur le démarreur lui-même et est fixé sur celui-ci par des moyens élastiques. Le maintien de l'écran est notamment assuré par un clip en fil métallique élastique, dont les extrémités viennent pincer extérieurement les deux ailes de l'écran et dont la partie médiane est engagée à travers une lumière transversale de l'écran.
