1,033,981. Vehicle sun visors. GEBR HAPPICH G.m.b.H. Feb. 8, 1963 [Feb. 10, 1962], No. 5194/63. Heading B7J. A vehicle sun visor comprising a body formed of a cover 1, Fig. 1, of synthetic material, padding sheets 2, Fig. 2 (not shown), and an internal wire frame 3 pivotally mounted, with friction, by a clip 5 on a rod 6 pivoted at 8 in a mounting bracket 9 is provided with a further pivot journal 10 extending across the mouth of a recess 13 in the body 1, 2 and engageable in a pivot bearing 22 of a bracket 20 secured in the vehicle. The invention is characterized in that the pivot journal 10 is formed by the bridge portion of a U-shaped yoke 11 having legs 12 joined with the bridge portion by shoulders 12<SP>1</SP> which legs are pushed into the padding to form the recess 13 and are interlockingly engaged in side plates 14, Fig. 3 (not shown), of a U-shaped bent metal strip having a bridge portion 15 with holes 16 therein for the passage of the legs 12. The plates 14 have tongues 17 to interlock with grooves 18 on the legs 12. Between the legs 12, the plates 14 are pressed together and welded at 19. The plates are also welded at 19 and 19<SP>1</SP> to the frame 3.
