Abstract

Including a latch-bolt (4) with link rods (3, 17) to bolts at the head and foot of the door, the casement fitting is operated by a lever-handle. Link operation is effected by a slidable cylinder lock-actuated dead bolt (28). A lower quadrant angle of 40 deg. to the horizontal defines the lever handle repose position, a 15 deg. depression effecting latch-bolt withdrawal, and the lift to the horizontal effecting affirmative link (3, 17) movement. A follower (5) with a radial segmental lug (6) surmounted by a pin may transmit primary spindle rotation, the lug engaging offset segmental annular windows (8, 20) in an indented wheel (9) and a latch-actuating lever (21) respectively. The indented wheel engaged (10, 11) one link rod (3) directly, and engages (32) the other through a return wheel (13) and pinned link (10). The latch-lever (21) extends from the follower to pin to the latch-bolt, the latter being recoil sprung (22).
