Abstract

The floor to ceiling composite interior wall partition has layers of chipboard and plasterboard held by vertical steel T-beams providing thermal and sound insulation. The vertical steel T-beam (2) has end caps for fixing to the floor and ceiling and then a layer of chipboard (3) is fitted against the web. One face (5) is finished with plasterboard screwed (7) to the upright, while the other face has a layer of wool or glass fibre (8) before being finished in plasterboard. All the panels are glued together and the joints are finished with cement adhesive.
