Abstract

Procédé pour convenir le sulfate ferreux en des particules. On met en contact du sulfate ferreux heptahyraté avec l'hydroxyde de calcium utilisé à titre d'agent neutralisant dans un rapport molaire d'au moins 1:1 et on fait réagir le mélange résultant sous agitation à une température au maximum égale à 60 degrés C pendant un temps de contact ne dépassant pas 5 mn. Utilisable pour convertir en des particules non polluantes le sulfate ferreux heptahydraté obtenu comme sous-produit dans la préparation du bioxyde de titane par le procédé au sulfate.
