Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production en milieu alcalin de composés stoechiométriques de plomb et bismuth à structure de pyrochlore. Le procédé en solution liquide permet d'obtenir des composés de formule : A2 B2 O7-y dans laquelle A est le plomb ou le bismuth ou leurs mélanges, B est le ruthénium ou l'iridium ou leurs mélanges et y est supérieur ou égal à 0 et inférieur ou égal à 1. Il applique la réaction de canons A et B pour former un oxyde à structure de pyrochlore par précipitation des cations A et B dans une solution aqueuse source de ces cations dans un milieu alcalin liquide de pH au moins égal à environ 13,5 en présence d'une source d'oxygène suffisante pour satisfaire la stoechiométrie désirée, à une température inférieure à environ 200 degrés C pendant une période suffisante pour que la réaction ait lieu. Les pyrochlores de l'invention peuvent être utilisés par exemple comme électrodes à oxygène dans des dispositifs électrochimiques.
