Abstract

Procédé de trempe de verre. On porte du verre à une température supérieure à son point de trempe, puis on le refroidit brusquement dans une couche fluidisée calme d'une matière en particules apte à dégager du gaz au chauffage et ayant une granulométrie moyenne de 30 à 20 mu m, un indice de distribution granulométrique de 1,15 à 2,78, un indice de fluidité de 69,5 à 92 et une capacité thermique par volume unitaire au maximum de fluidisation de 0,7 à 1,59 MJ/m**3K. Application notamment à la trempe de feuilles de verre pour incorporation à des pare-brise de véhicules.
