Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de moulage d'articles de précision. De la résine synthétique chaude et visqueuse est introduite dans la cavité d'un moule en deux parties qui contiennent des pistons, mobiles l'un par rapport à l'autre et dont les surfaces correspondent aux surfaces de l'article moulé. Quand la charge voulue a été injectée dans le moule, les pistons sont rapprochés l'un de l'autre et sont maintenus sous pression pendant le refroidissement de la résine jusqu'au-dessous de sa température de transition vitreuse. La pression est ensuite relâchée et, après refroidissement, l'article peut être démoulé. L'invention s'applique notamment à la fabrication de lentilles divergentes en polycarbonate.
