Abstract

L'invention concerne une structure d'électrode bipolaire composite. La structure comprend une face anode constituée d'une couche d'un métal du groupe du platine, d'un oxyde de métal ou de leurs mélanges, déposée sur une couche d'un métal formant valve, de préférence de titane, une face cathode constituée d'une matière pour cathode, commodément une matière ferreuse, et une couche intermédiaire de matière conductrice poreuse, comme de graphite, placée de façon à être en contact electrique entre la couche de métal formant valve et la couche de matière pour cathode. On assemble l'électrode en appliquant une couche mince d'une matière polymère sur les interfaces des couches intermédiaires poreuses et en pressant les constituants avec une pression suffisante pour obliger la matière polymère à pénétrer dans les interstices des couches intermédiaires. Application notamment à la prépartion de chlorates, perhalogénates, halogénités et hypohalogénites de métaux alcalins.
