Abstract

Ce pneumatique comprend une carcasse composée d'une nappe de câblés parallèles qui est initialement posée à plat sur un tambour de confection cylindrique, après la pose d'une couche de composition élastomère destinée à former le revêtement extérieur de la base et des flancs 18 et 19. Les câblés 16 sont inclinés de 60 à 85 degrés sur le plan équatorial du pneumatique. On pose sur cette nappe une couche d'élastomère qui forme le revêtement intérieur imperméable à l'air et éventuellement des tringles de renforcement 23, on ramène les bords latéraux de la nappe vers le centre, et on les réunit. On pose ensuite une nappe de ceinture 28 dont les câbles 31 sont inclinés en sens inverse de la partie des câblés de la nappe de carcasse contenue dans la couronne du pneumatique et on superpose une bande de roulement 20. Lorsqu'on gonfle le pneumatique dans son moule de vulcanisation, les câblés prennent une allure radiale dans les flancs tandis que, dans la zone de couronne, ils prennent un plus petit angle d'inclinaison sur le plan équatorial.
