Abstract
The process of preparing slop from ceramic raw materials is automatically controlled by measuring the input required for the grinding of the ceramic raw material. The electrolyte flow rate is adjusted until this input reaches its minimum value. The water flow rate is adjusted to a figure such that the sum of quantities, proportional to water flow rate and to electrolyte flow rate, is equal to a quantity, proportional to the throughout of ceramic materials. This system produces slip with a minimum viscosity and a constant minimum moisture content. At the same time, it raises the productivity and throughput.
