Abstract

The safety seat belt for vehicle occupants is fixed at one end to the vehicle at the side of the seat opposite to the adjacent door and unwinds at its other end in an automatic retractor mounted in the door. Movement of the belt is locked at predetermined safe acceleration and or deceleration values by the detection of a freely suspended pendulum. Rotation is blocked by the tooth of the articulated pawl coming into contact with the locking toothed wheel and disengaged by the lever and shoe pressing the pawl back again.
