Abstract

The machine has an upper frame, supported by a fixed link at one end and a mobile link (3) at the other. Its surface has grids (9, 10, 11) for calibrating the fruit or vegetables, these falling onto another frame (2) below. This lower frame is similarly supported at one end, its other end being attracted to the mobile link. This link is driven by a linkage (6, 7) connected to the eccentric (8) of a crank and reciprocates both frames simultaneously but in opposing directions for balance. Items sorted on the lower frame are removed by conveyors (16, 17).
