Abstract

La partie en contact avec le piston d'un levier servant à actionner le piston du frein à disque avec son patin de frein contre un disque comporte une portée à bille comme organe de contact. Le frein à disque est un frein de secours actionné par levier, dans lequel le patin de frein est sollicité par un ressort en position de freinage quand on abaisse la pression de l'air retenant le ressort. Le contact par bille permet de réduire le bras de levier effectif agissant sur le piston tandis que l'autre bras de levier reste constant, ce qui accroît le rapport de transmission des forces entre le ressort et le piston. Cet accroissement de force de freinage effectif compense la réduction du couple exercé sur le levier par le ressort en fonction inverse de sorte que la force de feinage effective est constante pour toutes les positions du piston et du patin sur la course de serrage.
