Abstract

Le tambour rotatif 2 à axe horizontal comprend un récipient externe 4 qui tourne avec lui pour recueillir l'eau pendant la centrifugation, et des moyens 15, 16 pour vider l'eau aux basses vitesses. Le récipient 4 est divisé en un certain nombre de sections par des cloisons 55, et des perforations 12 prévues dans la surface du tambour assurent la communication entre le tambour et le récipient 4. Les cloisons de séparation 5 sont inclinées par rapport à l'axe du tambour, et il n'est pas prévu de perforations dans la partie arrière desdites sections par rapport au sens de rotation du tambour lorsqu'on vide celui-ci aux basses vitesses. De préférence, il n'est pas non plus prévu de perforations dans la partie avant des sections par rapport au sens de rotation du tambour pour la centrifugation, et au moins une partie du récipient 4 présente une forme tronconique.
